I am a white, cis woman and live with my husband, three daughters, and our pandemic puppy. We reside north of Baltimore on stolen lands from the Piscataway and Nentego (Nanticoke) nations. I invite you to pause and honor the native lands on which you now live and, if you don’t know, research them here.
In my free time, I love to go camping, kayak, spend time outdoors with my family, binge watch Netflix, and dabble in nature photography and art.
I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a genetic connective tissue disorder. This invisible disability has taught me empathy, as one never knows another’s suffering. It has led me to value my body, as I only have one. I have learned to prioritize wellness and express gratitude for whatever the present moment may bring. I understand that our identity and who we are, invisible or not, shapes how we behave and lead. I learned to find healing and solace in nature, which led to the founding of Ebb and Flow Coaching.

Superpowers
I bring 15 years in leadership and over 20 years in the education and non-profit sector. As a consultant and leadership coach, I have supported the following organizations:
I served as a senior executive at EL Education (formerly Expeditionary Learning), a leading non-profit helping schools and districts across the country redefine and raise student achievement. During my 12 years with EL Education, I coached leaders, designed and facilitated adult learning, managed a portfolio of school and district partnerships along the East Coast, led EL's accreditation program, and supervised a high-performing team of diverse leaders and staff. EL doubled in size and scaled its impact over my decade with it, and I learned valuable lessons about organizational growth, leadership, continuous improvement, communication and most of all, change management.
Before joining EL, I helped found The Crossroads School, a public middle school in Baltimore, Maryland. "To start a school is to proclaim what it means to be human." (Tom James)
I also have been a marine biologist, environmental scientist, collegiate athlete, and surfer.
"Myra has served in many roles for me during the decade I have known her… colleague, mentor, coach, and friend. In each of those roles the quality that stands out to me the most is her unapologetic and sincerely authentic way of being an ally. She always pushes the necessary conversations and asks the right questions to deepen thinking and hold people accountable to move beyond words and into action. And as a Black woman school leader, that is what makes me trust her. "
